Season 1

The second season of the French television mystery music game programme Show Me Your Voice premiered on M6 on 8 July 2024;[1][2] this was also marked the show's return after a three-year hiatus, which has been formally announced from a tweet by journalist Clément Garin [fr] in April 2024.[3][4]

Gameplay

[edit]

Format

[edit]

Under the original format, the contestants can eliminate mystery singers after each round, and ended with the last remaining mystery singer depending on the outcome of a duet performance by guest artist(s).[1]

The contestants must eliminate one mystery singer at the end of each round, receiving a designated cash value based on the most bad singer eliminations, from a minimum of €1,000 to a maximum of €10,000 (if there are more than six bad singers). At the end of the game, the contestants may either end the game and keep the money they had won in previous rounds, or risk it for a chance to win 20,000 by correctly guessing whether the last remaining mystery singer is good or bad.

Rounds

[edit]

Each episode presents the guest artist and contestants with nine people whose identities and singing voices are kept concealed until they are eliminated to perform on the "stage of truth" or remain in the end to perform the final duet.

  1. First impression (French: Première impression)
The guest artist and contestants are given some time to observe and examine each mystery singer based on their appearance.
  2. Playback (French: Relecture)
Divided into two groups of four mystery singers, each of them have to perform a lip sync of their own. At the conclusion of performances, the contestants eliminate one mystery singer from each group.
  3. Exhibit (French: Pièce à conviction)
The guest artist and contestants are presented with a video package containing possible clues by one of the mystery singers of their choice.
  4. Concealed vocals (French: Cachez la voix)
The mystery singer lip syncs to the good singer's recording, then a bad singer's recording comes in the middle of the performance.
  5. Secret studio (French: Studio secret)
The guest artist and contestants are presented with video from a recording session by one of the mystery singers, but pitch-shifted to obscure their actual vocals.
  6. Interview (French: L'interview)
The guest artist and contestants may ask questions to the remaining mystery singers. Good singers are required to give truthful responses, while the bad singers must lie.
