SAE-SVITS (Vaishnav Krieger's)[edit]

The SAE-SVITS collegiate club was opened up in 2011 under aegis of Deptt. of Mechanical Engineering and SAEINDIA. SAEINDIA is India's leading resource for mobility technology. As an individual member driven society of mobility practitioners the ownership of SAEINDIA wrests with its members who are Individuals from the mobility community, which includes Engineers Executives from Industry, Government Officials, Academics and Students. It is best known by its MOTORSPORT endeavor combined with the technical enthusiasts of the college. The club and the team had made college rank in one of the top most colleges of INDIA right striking from its first batch of mechanical engineering. Club has the antiquity of offering placements and hands on training and making industry ready students by offering them practical challenges such as BAJA SAE, SUPRA SAE, EFFICYCLE and many more both nationally and internationally which no other club in SVITS has to offer.Vaishnav Kriegers.

  • Vaishnav Kriegers qualified for the first time for BAJA SAEINDIA even its first batch of mechanical engineering yet to passout securing AIR 32 under the leadership of its captain Ashish Kumar Ghatode.
  • In 2013 itself two more landmarks were achieved when the All girls team of the college made their own Hybrid tricycle for the Efficycle event under the Leadership of Ms. Surbhi Jain.
  • The second landmark was achieved when Vaishnav Kriegers again qualified for with its yet another masterpiece RHINO for BAJA SAEINDIA 2014 under the captainship of Mr. Pratik Mahajan.

NSS[edit]

The National Service Scheme (NSS) was launched in 1969 to provide opportunity to youth in the universities and colleges to serve the society they are living in. It aims the activities of social service and nation building which would also put forward opportunities to the students to understand and realize the problems of the communities, awaken social consciousness and to establish a constructive linkage between the campus and the community. NSS unit of SVITS is continuously putting its sincere efforts to develop sensitive, responsible and self-motivated future citizens. Consequent upon this, following activities were put into operation to associate futures technocrats with social and human issues.

  • In the NSS day Celebration on 24 September 08, slides show on the intro and motto of NSS depicted along with the brief review of activities organized in the recent past and proposed for forthcoming session.
  • A Plantation Campaign was organized on 15 October 2008 in the campus in association with "Art of Living foundation". Campaign has grand success not just due to more than 1000 students participated or more than 400 tree plants were implanted but the reason is most of the plants are well taken care of and survived till date.
  • A team of TISR (Tata Institute of Social Research), Mumbai visited the campus on 21 October 2008 and a survey is conducted for ministry of HRD with the help of NSS volunteers regarding the issues to be taken up by the NSS.
  • On 1 December 2008 "Aids day" awareness regarding the prevention of Aids was spread through posters displayed in campus.
  • NSS svits organized an audio-video show "Safety on Roads" on 8 December 2008 in association with the students of MGM Medical College, Indore.
  • Development of Website of NNS SVITS is under process, which will make Blood donor's directory accessible on line.
