The shore of Oredezh River in Siversky

Siversky (Russian: Си́верский) is an urban-type settlement in the Gatchinsky District of Leningrad Oblast, Russia.

Siversky is located on the bank of the Oredezh River. The Siverskaya railway station is located on the Warsaw – Saint Petersburg Railway, receiving regional trains from the Baltic Rail Terminal of Saint Petersburg.

The population of Siversky is 12,100 (as of 2005). It was assigned its settlement status in 1938.

According to locals, Siversky is one of the only places in the world where the banks of the Oredezh River are lined with red sand, suggesting an iron presence in the river or surrounding soil.
