Slendertone is the brand name for the range of electrical muscle stimulation devices manufactured by the Irish company Bio-Medical Research Ltd.[1] As of 2015 the company's Slendertone Flex product had been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for over-the-counter sale for toning, strengthening and firming abdominal muscles.[2] As of 2016, the Slendertone range now includes a device with a Bluetooth link to a smartphone app.[3]
