Space Patrol Luluco (宇宙パトロールルル子, Uchū Patorōru Ruruko) is a short anime television series produced by Trigger.[1] It airs in Japan on April 1, 2016 as part of Ultra Super Anime Time programming block.

Plot

Luluco is a thirteen-year-old girl who lives in the solar system frontier space colonization zone Ogikubo, together with her father, who works for the respective Space Patrol. Despite being a part of this wondrous district full of alien immigrants, who were accepted into the system 20 years prior to the story, Luluco manages to live the life of a normal school girl. However, when her father accidentally freezes himself, Luluco is given no other choice but to bring him to his work place, where she is appointed to become a member of the Space Patrol by the head of the division, Over Justice. From then on, Luluco's previously normal life faces a drastic change, as she is sent on daily missions to protect Ogikubo from space criminals, together with her assigned partner and new classmate AΩ Nova.

Characters

Luluco (ルル子, Ruruko)
Voiced by: M·A·O
The main character of the story. She is a thirteen year old middle school student who lives together with her father in Ogikubo. Her one true wish has always been to lead a normal life despite her odd living place, but when her father accidentally freezes himself and she has to bring him to his work place, she is assigned the role of a space officer against her will.
AΩ Nova (ΑΩ ·ノヴァ)
Voiced by: Junya Enoki
A Space Patrol officer and partner of Luluco. He recently transferred to Luluco's school and became her new classmate.
Midori (ミドリ)
Voiced by: Mayumi Shintani
A fellow student at Luluco's school and classmate. After being caught as publisher of an illegal Blackhole App, she volunteers to join the Space Patrol in order to get out of any punishments for her crime, as well as to spend more time at the side of AΩ Nova.
General manager of Over Justice (オーバージャスティス本部長, Ōbājasutisu hon buchō)
Voiced by: Tetsu Inada
The head of the Space Patrol and Luluco's boss.
Keiji (ケイジ, Keiji)
Voiced by: Mitsuo Iwata
A Space Patrol officer and father of Luluco.
Hisho (秘書, Hisho)
A temporary staff worker at the Space Patrol. She serves as Over Justice's personal secretary.
Lalaco God Speed (ララ子・ゴッドスピード, Rarako goddosupīdo)
Luluco's mother. She is a space pirate and wears a cape made of Life Fibers.
