Spandaryan (Template:Lang-hy; formerly, Meliklar, Maliklar, Meliklu, and Kalachik) is a village and rural community (municipality) in the Syunik Province of Armenia. The National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (ARMSTAT) reported its population was 486 in 2010,[2] up from 446 at the 2001 census.[3] The area contains the Spandaryan Hydro Power Plant, one of Armenia's largest hydro power plants and the Spandaryan Reservoir to the northwest of the village itself.
