St. Elmo Steak House

St. Elmo Steak House is a restaurant at 127 South Illinois Street in Indianapolis, Indiana, opened in 1902. It is currently owned by Stephen Huse and Craig Huse. The restaurant is well known for its World Famous Shrimp Cocktail. In 2012, it was recognized by the James Beard Foundation as an American Classic.[1]

St. Elmo was featured on the Travel Channel series Food Paradise on the episode "Steak Paradise 3: Prime Cuts".[2] St. Elmo was also one of several Indiana institutions featured in the Season 5 Parks and Recreation episode "Two Parties", as a treat for Ron Swanson.[3] In season 5 of Parks and Recreation, episode 17 "Partridge" , Ron Swanson was tricked into being served with a subpoena by being offered a free dinner at St. Elmo Steakhouse.
