"Start Again"
Song

"Start Again" is the second solo single from Australian singer Conrad Sewell. The song is co-written by Sewell and Jamie Hartman. The song laments the loss of a lover and the fervent hope to get back off to a fresh start.[2] It was released in the United States and Australia on March 10.[3]

The song was almost given to Kylie Minogue but Sewell decided "it didn't sound like a Kylie song" and forged ahead with his own version of the composition.[4][5]

In an interview on Joy 94.9, Sewell said he recorded the track in one take[6] and was driven by "pure emotion" that just "came easily".[7] Sewell said, "I need to be singing soulful music like this!"[8]

Promotion

On March 11, Sewell performed the song live on The Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda and Elvis Duran named him the show's artist of the month. His song was also featured on a preview of the Australian TV show Home and Away.[9]
