Steve Johnson (born 24 December 1989) is an American professional tennis player. He has won an ATP Challenger Tour title and competed in a handful of ATP World Tour-level main draw matches, including debut at the 2011 U.S. Open. Johnson played college tennis for the USC Trojans. He had a solid freshman campaign, but was ousted in the 2009 NCAA Men's Singles Championship. He won the NCAA Men's Singles Championship in his sophomore, junior, and senior season (2010-2012).[1] The only other player to win three NCAA Men's Singles Championships was Pancho Segura (Miami 43, 44, 45). This is the first time that both the singles and the team championship was awarded to the same University for three consecutive years.[2]

As a junior he captured the 2010–11 NCAA Singles Championship, defeating Rhyne Williams in the final, 4–6, 6–2, 6–1. He also helped USC win a third consecutive NCAA tennis team title. His exploits saw Johnson named Intercollegiate Tennis Association Player of the Year for 2010–11.[3]
