Stocksundet is the water connecting Lilla Värtan with Edsviken, and is the border between Danderyd Municipality and Solna Municipality in Sweden.

The sound is supposed to have received its name from the logs (Swedish: "stock") which used to be laid out in the water to stop invading ships in the early Middle Ages. This name then led to the name of Stocksund, on the north side of the sound, and to the heraldry shield of Stocksund Municipality 1955-1966.
