Sumar (Dutch: Suameer) is a village in the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel, in the province Friesland (the Netherlands). It lies south of Burgum, on the Provinciale weg 356, and has approximately 1370 inhabitants (2008).[1] There is a windmill in the village, De Hoop.
Notable inhabitants
- Bintje Jansma, after which the potato-cultivar bintje is named.
