Personal life
She is the mother of Mexican pop diva Paulina Rubio,[2] and has worked in around 50 movies and TV series, including a number of telenovelas (Spanish soap-operas). She starred in the films Rio Lobo (1970), Day of the Assassin (1979) and Hit Man (1982), and worked in the soap-opera El Juramento.[3]
On 11 January 2011, her ex-husband, lawyer Enrique Rubio died from kidney cancer.
In recent years Dosamantes has worked in the United States in order to be near her daughter, Paulina. Both Susana and Paulina now live in Miami, Florida.
