Swiss is an unincorporated community in western Nicholas County, West Virginia, United States. Its elevation is 735 ft (224 m).

Swiss is situated on the northern bank of the Gauley River, which also is border with Fayette County. The town is served by West Virginia Route 39.[1]

History

The Indians called Gauley River "Toki-biloki" falling creek. Swiss is located about ten miles up Gauley River from Gauley Bridge.[2]
