The Tacoma Rise is a professional basketball team in the American Basketball Association (ABA). Based out of Tacoma, Washington. The team was founded by Chris Reynolds (Reynolds Sports Entertainment Inc.) in 2012 and went by the Olympia Rise.

History

During the inaugural 2012-13 season, the Rise had a 6-8 regular season record and lost the first game of the Pacific Northwest playoffs to the Kitsap Admirals, a team they defeated three of three times during the regular season.

After one season in Olympia the team relocated to Tacoma for the 2013-14 season.[1] The club went 4-8 in their second season before ceasing operations.

In April of 2015 Chris Reynolds launched another ABA team, the Everett Evolution.
