Tales of the Jedi: Knights of the Old Republic is a five-part story arc in the Tales of the Jedi series of comic books written by Tom Veitch. The first issue was published on 1 August 1994 by Dark Horse Comics with the original title Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi. The story is set in the Star Wars galaxy 4,000 and 3,999 years before the battle of Yavin in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.
