Richard Warren's ancestry and the identity of his wife[edit]

According to the following sources, Richard Warren, Mayflower pilgrim, was the son of Christopher Warren and Alice Webb, and that his wife's name was Elizabeth Marsh/Maych/Ivatt/Juatt. These sources further state that Richard Warren was descended from William de Warenne, 1st Earl of Surrey and Gundreda, who is listed as a daughter of William the Conqueror and Matilda of Flanders.

Link to/from the "Anne" ?[edit]

Someone included a link from the "Anne", one of the early ships that came to Plymouth Plantation. That's a good idea (if anyone will ever write an article on the Anne). The question I have is: should the quotation marks be part of the link? If not, then it links to "Anna", but if so, should Mayflower have quotes?

There are two articles on the Anne - The Anne and the Little James 1623 and Passengers of the Anne and the Little James 1623. Mugginsx (talk) 12:46, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ancestors of Richard Warren[edit]

Some have Richard Warren as christened 24 Jan 1580 at St Peter Cornhil, London, England and then his ancestors are given at this link

http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=PED&db=bevangenealogy&id=I31837

AND that line does carry one back to Charlemagne and Royal lines of William Conqueror.

Further note- the pontificating tone of the main article likely comes from lack of info. See above. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.202.166.157 (talk) 03:22, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ancestry[edit]

On Sarah Palin's connection:

Ancestry.com was only printing the research results of three leading genealogical authorities: Tom Brown, William Reitwiesner, and Gary Boyd Roberts. All three researchers cited birth, death and census records, as permissible by law, pointing back to accepted printed earlier genealogies.

The material was compiled by Robert Battle and Michael Hurdle, and was extracted from Mr. Battle's webpages at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~battle/palin.htm and http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~battle/heath.htm.

Extensive source documentation can be found on those webpages.
