This is the current style

Name Bullet Length Rim Base Neck OAL
.50 Action Express 12.7 (.500) 32.64 (1.285) 13.06 (.514) 13.89 (.547) 13.72 (.540) 40.89 (1.610)
.50 Action Express 12.7 (.500) 32.64 (1.285) 13.06 (.514) 13.89 (.547) 13.72 (.540) 40.89 (1.610)
.50 GI 12.7 (.50) 12.19 (.480) 13.36 (.526) 31.01 (1.221)

I propose this:

Name Case type Bullet diameter Neck diameter Shoulder diameter Base diameter Rim diameter Case length Cartridge length
.470 Nitro Express[1] rimmed bottleneck 12.27 (.483) 12.7 (.500) 13.41 (.528) 14.53 (.572) 16.41 (.646) 82.55 (3.25) 98.04 (3.86)
.475 Nitro Express[2] rimmed straight 12.09 (.476) 12.75 (.502) - 13.84 (.545) 15.77 (.621) 83.82 (3.30) 97.03 (3.82)
.50 Action Express case type 12.7 (.500) 13.72 (.540) 13.89 (.547) 13.06 (.514) 32.64 (1.285) 40.89 (1.610)

Tell me the first is more intuitively useful... Or look at this:

Hi, just a short proposal: I'm not sooo experienced with those specifications but it would be a good idea to give the used measure for each column. Just like its nearly useless to me to read that some are mm and others are caliber/inch; how about stating in the table which is actually used for which? 78.48.0.63 (talk) 12:20, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
