Goal average[edit]
I do not think that the goal average mentioned in the final game is the same as goal difference. That just do not really make sense. I know that there used to be specific calculation for such criterion where goal average would be obtained by dividing goals scored by goals conceded. In that way goal average is indeed higher 11.0 (for Spain 11 [GS] / 1 [GA]) to 4.0 (for Germany 16 [GS] / 4 [GA]). Such goal average formula used to be widely utilized before the World War II and could have been implemented for this competition as well. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 10:54, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
