London manager

[edit]

How did Joseph Mears manage the London team, considering that his article says he died in 1935? --Jameboy (talk) 18:49, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It was Joe Mears, his son. SteveO (talk) 23:43, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Billy Milne, also manager of London Team

[edit]

Hi, sorry for my english. In this links there is a copy of a well known sport diary of barcelona the day after of the final match. There is a interview (IN SPANISH) to WILLIAM MILSNE, (i think in fact is WILLIAM MILNE, Billy Milne from arsenal the manager of the team and the article says its Arsenal manager... not the chelsea manager named in the article.

the journalist says Milne is "assistant of arsenal" and doing "functions of manager of LONDON XI" during the Fairs Cup...

And the BARCELONA manager at the time of the second final match was the mitic Helenio Herrera, also interviewd in this link, not DOMENEC BALMANYA, fired from the club months ago, the first edition of the FAIRS CUP was very large, during 3 years, DOMENEC was the manager at the start of the tournament until to the first final match, fired between the two matches, at the time of the second final matchs im sure (and here is a confirmation) was HELENIO HERRERA...

I can imagine something similar happens with the LONDON XI managers, there was different managers during the tournament.
