Qualification for the demonstration curling event at the 1988 Winter Olympics[edit]
This tournament functioned as the de facto qualifying tournament for the 1988 Olympic Winter Games in Calgary.
The top eight finishers, including Olympic host Canada, qualified for the 1988 Olympics. If Canada had not finished in the top eight, they would have received entry as the Olympic host and the eighth-placed team would not have qualified.
Scotland earned Olympic qualification for Great Britain.
