After Stage 4, the General classification shows Geraint Thomas leading Chris Froome by 12 seconds. In stage 5, Chris Froome finished 20 seconds back from the leader and Geraint Thomas finished 40 seconds back from the leader. This means Chris Froome made up 20 seconds on Geraint Thomas, so you'd expect Froome to be 8 seconds ahead. Yet the General classification after stage 5 shows Froome 12 seconds ahead.
