Is it just me

[edit]

Or is the Scottish league set-up a complete shambles? 1. Rangers and Celtic have won every year since 1984 (so why do the other clubs bother? Why isn't something done to leve things out?) 2. The 'round-robin' stuff is a total nonsense. "Each teams plays the other 3 times.. then the league splits in two..." What a shambles! Why not just have 18 teams, and play each other twice = 34 games. Who on earth came up with this system, in Scotland, and why do the fans still bother?? 90.29.109.229 (talk) 09:41, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's not perfect but it's not that bad either, plenty of other countries have leagues which are dominated by a small number of clubs - and how do you propose to level things out given the Old Firm have the biggest crowds? The main reason for the smaller league is to ensure that Celtic and Rangers play each other four times - great for Sky Sports - the split keeps the number of games at 38 and makes the end of season interesting. But this isn't a place to discuss these issues, go to a football forum or social media site for that. Boothy m (talk) 12:39, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
