The Scottish Open and the Champion of Champions tournament

[edit]

There's something strange in this article: the Scottish Open is said to be scheduled for December, but yet it's stated (on the 2nd of November, 1630 hrs GMT) that the winner will earn a place in the 2023 Champion of Champions invitational, and I understand that's in November. Should it read that the winner of the Scottish Open will earn a place in the 2024 Champion of Champions, or is there some error concerning the dates of these tournaments? 46.132.3.153 (talk) 16:35, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers. I have removed the statement pending resolution of the actual situation. Nigej (talk) 16:58, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Nigej: If you look back at previous CofC events, it looks like this one should be the 2024 CofC.  Alan  (talk) 19:08, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Nigej: Also confirmed by the official website which says that Gary Wilson is included in the 2023 CofC by winning the 2022 Scottish.  Alan  (talk) 19:22, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No objection to adding it back in with the correct date. Personally I don't find it too interesting. Isn't the same true of all the other ranking events? Nigej (talk) 19:27, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty much. :-)  Alan  (talk) 19:30, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
