Hello

Please do not place No in front of the number of the regiment or any squadrons as it is not used in the Canadian Forces and is not correct formating.

Thank you.

On 6 Sept 08 8 Field Engineer Regiment will have its name changed to 41 Combat Engineer Regiment. As well, 33 Field Engineer Squadron will be placed under 41 CER rather than being an independent unit. Both Units, 8 FER and 33 FES, are treating this reorganization as an amalgamation rather than a takeover by 8 FER.

Since no one has ever created an separate article for 33 FES it is my intent to move the article to 41 Combat Engineer Regiment and update previous links. I will be attempting to have members of 33 FES post a seperate history of their squadron within the new 41 CER page.

Note from an 8 FER Veteran.

8 Field Engineer regiment needs to maintain a seperate page titled as such. 8 Field Engineer Regiment has a history under that name and needs an article to refelect that. The new 41 CER page can show how it was fromed from 8FER and 33FES, and link to it accordingly. It would be incorrect to simply relplace the 8 Field Engineer Regiment article with a 41CER article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.85.237.11 (talk) 12:05, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
