Untitled[edit]

Hi my name is Ken Bunce I served in 562 from 1976 to 1991 although of course the majority of that service was when the Sqn did not enjoy a Parachute role. I have however taken the opportunity to kick off the wiki encyclopedia page recording key facts about the para sqn's existence and of course retaining the history by way of these pages to be enjoyed by all in the future.

I have assisted in gathering material by Ken Hill and Ted Dalton. None of us are 100% experts on the history of the Sqn but have between us been able to record what we think are most of the salient facts. I have also used a reference title 'The Story of the RASC and RCT 1945 - 1982 (ISBN 0 436 50606 8)(Editor in Chief Brigadier DJ Sutton OBE) for some of the inserted material. For info this title contains a full chapter on Airborne Forces in the RASC/RCT and lists 63 Para and 562 Para Sqn's history in some detail.

The beauty behind the wiki project means that anyone can contribute to articles making the ability to update and improve articles extremely flexible. If you have anything to contribute then please do so listing the changes you make here. (Geezer466 16:33, 6 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]
