Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedy deleted as lacking sufficient context to identify its subject, because I am working on this page consistently.
- Fine. Register and log in so we can talk to you on your talk page. Little bits of advice like - you always sign a comment on the article talk page.
- A wikipedia edit has three parts- an interesting fact, the reference showing where you found it, and a comment in the edit summary. Look I have written booklets on how to edit- Look at and other articles in Commons:Category:Wikimedia UK training booklets. At the moment the material you are adding lacks references and is likely to be deleted. Get back to mke on my talk page to discuss your ideas--ClemRutter (talk) 12:11, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
I’m not sure how I have upset the system but I am a new user. I have spent the last two years researching Abington academy and predecessor schools in Wigston, Leicestershire. I used accurate and reliable source material, namely Headteacher diaries from 1911 onwards. I then placed this material on Wikipedia. I was very proud of this work and was very upset to go on the site today to see that all my hard work had been deleted. Why would that happen? Help please as the information was 100% historically accurate. How can this be recovered? Please! A M Green 56 (talk) 21:26, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
Level of detail, tone and citations
[edit]Can we discuss some of the level of detail, lack of citations and tone please?
For instance, this comment "17 inspectors for the whole week!" is not encylopediac in tone - and not referenced. Tacyarg (talk)
Sorry I’m a new user and I appreciate your comment. Whilst the comment is accurate - see ofsted report 1995 - the tone is unfortunate in retrospect. I spent 2 years researching this from headteacher school diaries from 1911 onwards so the article is accurate. Having said that someone has now deleted the whole article. Sorry if I got it wrong. Really upset the article has been deleted. A M Green 56 (talk) 21:41, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
