I don't know when the Cambridge lab was closed, but I believe it was renamed the Air Force Geological Lab (or something similar) before eventually becoming part of the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL). I am certain that the name Air Force Cambridge Research Lab was not in use in 1998 when AFRL was formed. It most certainly did not exist as a separate lab with Cambridge in the title in the 2000s. The 2005 BRAC resulted in the eventual closure of the remaining AFRL units at Hanscom AFB, with the work sent to Wright-Patterson AFB, OH and Kirtland AFB, NM. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.208.195.202 (talk) 14:58, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
