Deleting plot
I don't want you to delete very much. I know that I have written an over-detailed plot. But I have written only in season 2 and last two paragraphs of season 1 which I have shortened a lot. I am trying to shorten the plot but I don't know what is necessary and is not. The show has a lot of twist and turns due to which many unnecessary events seem necessary. Please help me shorten the plot by deleting the unnecessary events and unnecessary descriptions of people. Thank You. Sujoybose1041 (talk) 01:48, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
- Well, I'm willing to (reluctantly) pull out my hatchet and join Ravensfire if it becomes necessary. As Ravensfire said above, though, you might not be entirely happy with our trimming, so I'd still recommend doing what you can yourself. You've made a reasonable (if small) start, so continuing to remove far more (about 10 times more) than you want to add each time, will keep things moving in the right direction. -- Begoon 06:25, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
- And just to add, Sujoybose1041, you're doing good work. It's really tough to start trimming material down. What goes? What stays? What's important? Tough decisions and you're doing a great job. Ravensfire (talk) 12:45, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
Deleting plot
My friends, I have received some messages in which some of you have said that I write extremely detailed plot. I admit that I have done so and I will try to keep in mind that I will not write too much detailed plot. But also, please don't delete my witten plot unless you try to write it. If you only delete what I have written, and not write anything, it is not a good thing. So, Do not delete plot unless you rewrite it. Thank You. Sujoybose1041 (talk) 05:30, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- No. We're not going to keep expanding this day by day, bit by bit, until it's first reduced to a manageable size (500 - 600 words per season only). As I said on your talk page, if you want to help then you can do that by editing it to reduce the greatly over-detailed, trivial coverage of mundane "events" and provide a proper, concise, general overview, rather than keep adding to the bloat. Perhaps you can find a fan-wiki or similar somewhere else to write excruciatingly detailed, blow-by-blow trivia like this, but it's not acceptable here, on an encyclopedia. Thank you. -- Begoon 05:42, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- @Sujoybose1041: What Begoon said. You've added nearly all of the insanely detailed plot and it needs to get removed. You need to be making that happen, not make the problem worse. The alternative is I can pull out my hachet and just randomly chop the plot down to size, and I doubt you want that to happen. Ravensfire (talk) 19:34, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- Ok - I got tired of seeing this - it was utterly unacceptable, so I trimmed it. What I did isn't perfect I'm sure, but then the over-detailed stream of consciousness rambling that was there was not much to work with (well, it was far, far too much in terms of size, but lacking almost any quality). At least now you have a framework - it's the right size, so you can edit it to improve quality to your heart's content, provided you don't lengthen it again in the process. What won't be happening is any gradual "creeping up" of the size, so stay within 600 words per season and all will be well. Thank you. -- Begoon 07:56, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
Which guidelines?
@Hshygfh33: Out of curiosity, which community guidelines were you looking at when you made these changes? Because I'm looking at WP:TVCAST and I can't see anywhere in that guideline where it asks editors to mash together actor names with slashes in between. Am I missing something? How can slashes be used to communicate information better than a clear sentence like "Ashi Singh replaced Kaur as Shehzadi". For all we know, two actors played the character at the same time. Or intermittently. Why is ambiguity better? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:50, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
Season number
The show makers have decided that the currently running season in which Mallika returns and again dies, is Season 2.5 or else one can add it in season 2 only. The show makers are introducing season 3 as the new season. Sujoybose1041 (talk) 16:59, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
