Baltic & BP[edit]

It's a little strange that the word "Baltic" doesn't appear in this article as such, though this body of water most closely corresponds to the Baltic Sea of today. Also, there should be some explanation of "BP", for those who are unfamiliar with the term. AnonMoos (talk) 23:19, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fauna[edit]

No evidence of "herding" has been forthcoming in the archaeological record from the Yoldia Stage nor for a long time thereafter; based on sledge finds, draught animals may have been used during the Stone Age but keeping actual herds is only documented from the Iron Age. On the other hand, the article does not mention the elk, which spread to southern Finland very quickly after the continental glacier retreated and was the mainstay of the Early Mesolithic population that entered the area from the south and east. --Death Bredon (talk) 10:40, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
