Major clean-up

Though I've barely registered as a Wiki user, I believe this article requires a major clean-up. Among other things, there's only a slight mention to his books of chronicles (which are currently three), no discussion of his novels and his contribution to Portuguese literature (apart from personal and vacuous statements such as "the beauty of his prose") and it even links to someone's personal blog, with no connection whatsoever to the article. Maybe I'll start trying to sort this one up.--Stark Major 17:05, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Too much information about his "nobel" lineage

Really, is it necessary to mention her mother being a daughter of an ex-Governor of the ex-Portuguese colonies and her father being Professor and acquaintance of Egas Moniz and being an earl? Please, it is not relevant! This article does not describe the author's work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.93.85.234 (talk) 22:18, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

Must be rewritten

This page needs to be entirely rewritten. As the previous commenters noted, there's more information on Lobo Antunes' genealogy and wives than on his novels and other writings. All of the geneaology stuff, if it should remain, needs to be consolidated in a "Personal Life" section, and the rest of the page should be devoted to factual descriptions of his many novels, their styles, forms and themes (a plot summary of Fado Alexandrino, for example, would be useful). The fact that this major European novelist, possibly Portugal's greatest living writer of prose, is represented on Wikipedia by this stub of an article is, frankly, scandalous. Whoever does eventually rewrite this page (hopefully a scholar of contemporary literature who has read all of Antunes' works) should take the James Joyce Wikipedia page as a model.Darrlead (talk) 15:41, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
