Deletion
[edit]I edited the original article because it had inaccurate info in it. I don't think it's advertising when the company in the article went out of business in the early 1980s. To prove that JT Coppock managed the Antoria brand is not hard because the JT Coppock name is on the labels of the Acoustic guitars. I suppose it's not an important article so if you really want to delete it then so be it.

- Its not an important article, nor does it explain why this company is notable, and that is the basis for the speedy delete. Queerbubbles | Leave me Some Love 14:19, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Antoria is a notable Guitar make. The Antoria logo is clearly visible on Noel Gallagher's guitar in Oasis's "Wonderwall" video. Not in and of itself grounds for notability but a sign nevertheless that Antoria was a respectable serious professional guitar manufacturer and not just some source of cheap knock-offs. - If that is so, it should be noted in the article... this article does not describe WHY this is a notable company. I have no clue, how should others who stumble across this? It should be fixed so that issues dont arise again. Queerbubbles | Leave me Some Love 17:08, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- It used to make a pretty good case for itself explaining Antoria's position as a budget professional guitar manufacturer in the 1970s but it was written in a very informal and unreferenced style and so most of the content was deleted. I'll see what I can dig up. This article is salvageable and it would be a shame to speedily delete it. Dino246 (talk) 17:29, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

I can't see any logic in talk of deleting this article. It's a fact that Antoria made guitars - I know because I am looking at one. I've owned it for 36 years and it still makes all the right noises,(especially since I put a full set of Fender Stratocaster decals on it :-} I'm sure there must be thousands of these things still knocking about, because they were actually pretty good guitars, and not exactly 'cheap' to a student either. So anybody who comes across one in the future will want to know who Antoria were. 86.132.129.184 (talk) 17:50, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
