Blueprint Development

[edit]

The section on blueprints says they were developed in 1725, however I have never encountered any source backing this up. The first published description I know of is "On the Action of Rays of the Solar Spectrum on Vegetable Colours, and on some New Photographic Processes" by John Herschel, submitted to the Royal Society in 1842. Wikipedia's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyanotype page also claims the process was developed by him. It seems the 1725 date needs to be removed, or there is lacking information both here and on the cyanotype page.

Here is a place you can download John Herschel's 1842 article. https://www.jstor.org/stable/108152?seq=1#metadata_info_tab_contents"
