Deletion or moved to different space

I have major issues with this page being a Wikipedia entry. I question notability and quite frankly usefulness as an article. This is a Wikipedia initiative not a subject for an article. It's essentially promotional and self-serving. They have a website, they don't need this entry. I question how the presence of this article creates a precedent for belly-button lint examination of Wikipedia initiatives. At minimum the entry should be placed in Wikipedia:Meetup/Art+Feminism. But they already have a presence there, with attendant press. But not in the mainspace. Erika aka BrillLyle (talk) 03:47, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I disagree 100%. The project is clearly notable enough for its own Wikipedia article. But we now have a deletion discussion taking place, so best to discuss there and not here. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:04, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

Small Corrections to the Establishment Section
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello! I wanted to suggest some corrections to the Establishment section: 1) Siân is not a curator, but an art librarian, and was working at Artstor at the time; Michael teaches at CUNY, not NYU; Eyebeam is a non-profit center for art and technology, not a commercial art gallery; and Laurel Ptak was a fellow there at the time, not an employee. thanks+best, --Failedprojects (talk) 21:29, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Failedprojects: All set. I think I made all of the changes here. I think all of these facts are covered by the existing sources, and they're largely straightforward biographical details so we probably don't need to add the primary links. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 03:15, 19 March 2016 (UTC)

I have a COI and cannot update this, but the Observer recently wrote about an event and it includes the most recent stats: https://observer.com/2020/08/wikipedia-edit-a-thon-virtual-national-museum-of-women-in-the-arts/ --Kiraface (talk) 16:46, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
- Kiraface, Would the text, "More than 18,000 people have created or improved approximately 84,000 Wikipedia articles at 1,260 events globally, as of 2020" work for you? ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:05, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
