Where first found

Colin Tubbs in the The Ecology, Conservation and History of the Solent says the first scientifically described specimens came from hayling island in 1755 although he notes that the historian Edward King reports they were discovered in Lymington in 1740.[1]

That said Graziella Mura in Artemia salina (Linnaeus, 1758) from Lymington, England: Frontal Knob Morphology by Scanning Electron Microscopy says Lymington and he appears to have access to the type specimens.©Geni (talk) 20:38, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
