Idea: My goal as a reader was to get some context for the theory & figure out where/when I'd want to use an artifact approach at work. I struggled a bit: the article is heavier on theory (so far).

A section describing use-cases, or maybe examples added in the Overview section would help me

Similar to this:

6.7.1 Artifact Model An artifact model shows how tangible elements (physical or electronic) are used and structured in the business process flow of doing the work. Work artifacts are one of the most important entities that get passed from one work role to another within the flow model. Examples include paper memos, email messages, correspondence templates, product change orders, and other things people create and use while working. Rex Hartson, Partha S.
