wow im disapointed, this is one of my favorite songs and you dropped the ball. Wikipedia is about a nuetral piont of view, but this artical pretty mutch tells you what to think, and provides no references to back it up. this needs to be written in a pasive style, and should allow the reader to think for themselves. also this song was'nt even a single, so dose it need its own artical?

I think the first quote should be followed up with an explanation regarding the strong socialist connotations being implied by it. It is basically pointing out that social spending is being reduced to the point that key institutions, such as schools and prisons, are becoming inoperable due to a lack of state/federal funding. The 'factory doors' regards the ability of privitised corporations to disregard the lives of the labourers and move on to find cheaper alternatives, creating all sorts of domestic problems. More or less, if the state was more authoritative in taking ownership in key industries, this would be averted. So yeah, it's a critique of laissez-faire, market fundementalist capitalism.
Inept fancruft[edit]
Maybe the song deserves an article and maybe it doesn't. But it SURELY doesn't deserve this sad excuse for an article. Eleland 17:05, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
