Management of the club and the fans council decided not to claim the history of Khimik Voskresensk link. I propose to change article Atlant and Khimik. WildCherry06 10:06, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Atlant is NOT successor of Khimik Voskresensk.

Absolutely agreed with WildCherry06 . When "Atlant" club was founded, it was based of the Khimik Voskresensk's current team. But currently "Khimik Voskresensk" team exists in Voskresensk city and plays in another russian league (was KHL member in previous season). Dimentiy (talk) 02:06, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

2 Lvivske: Initially, team was moved from Voskresensk city to Mytischi city. This was caused by economical reasons - Mytischi city has greater size than Voskresensk city and has new, better and greater arena. But wide common discussions was made regarding "brand" - Khimik Voskresensk historically one of greater russian teams and developed many great players. As result of discussions, team currently based in Mytischi was renamed to "Atlant". Official solution for now -> Atlant is not historical successor of Khimik. Khimik Voskresensk based in Voskresensk again. Previous season both teams played in KHL. This season Khimik Voskresensk moved back to another league due to economical reasons (financial crisis e t.c.). Also please see official site for the slogan ("Всё только начинается", "Just beginning"(?)) - this slogan exactly was created after renaming and official solution about "history holder". So for now Khimik Voskresensk based in Voskresensk, Atlant based in Mytischi, and they are two different teams. Both partially sponsored by Moscow region government(?). p.s.
