Further explaination may help elaborate the fact stated
[edit]86.111.223.180 (talk) 05:56, 21 January 2009 (UTC)I have read to a certain paragraph that the high agressive army ants would show respect to the atta sexdens, perhaps the author of this page could explain further on this and add links for better understanding?
Jbotz (talk) 00:54, 19 August 2009 (UTC) (I am not the original author) I have observed that the atta simply close their entrances and hunker down when army ants come around. The army ant species that's local to my area (Bahia, Brazil) is rarely in the same area for more than 3 days.
Pictures wrong?
[edit]Looks to me like the Picture labeled as Atta sexdens soldiers doesn't show A. sexdens. I'm not sure what they are, maybe A. colombica (because the body is quite hairy) or A. cephalotes. The head of A. sexdens isn't really round like that and it has a horn at each end. Also it's not shiny. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.246.185.17 (talk) 15:44, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
Citations & edit for consistency
[edit]This article has a lot of great information, but is lacking in citations. There are a ton of statistics provided, but I don't see the appropriate references listed. I've also noticed disparities in spelling (i.e. “faeces”/”feces” and “fertilise” vs. “fertilize”) that could be edited for consistency. Ruaha (talk) 04:15, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
