Orphans

Is it true that a great many Armenian orphans in the early 20th century, who did not know their surnames, were arbitrarily given the surname "Avakian," leading to a great number of people with this surname at that time? Badagnani (talk) 21:53, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
