eastern Sabah?

[edit]

The introduction seems (!) to speak about a division into FOUR "varieties in western Sabah, Mapun [...], eastern Sabah, and across Sulawesi to Maluku."

In "Distribution" only THREE regional groups are listed: West Coast Bajau, Indonesian Bajau, Mapau.

In "Population" Sabah (without specification) is mentioned under "Mapun".

Does that mean the eastern dialects in Sabah are part of the Mapun variety and there are only three main varieties instead of four as the introduction seems to say?

Hi guys
