Naseljeno mesto Batrovci nalazi se na zapadnom delu Šidske opštine na prosečnoj nadmorskoj visini od 81,5m i jedno je od manjih mesta u opštini.Kao ravničarsko naselje ima sve karakteristike tipičnih Vojvođanskih mesta. Prema postojećim podatcima u literaturi nemoguće je odrediti kada su se Btrovci formirali kao naselje.Prvi pouzdaniji pismeni podatak upućuje na 1578. godinu.
