there do seem to have been Éclaireurs in this war, under Franchetti at the Siege of Paris. Apparently no Wikipedia page in any language. I have not tried scholarly sources yet; might be possible to reference this.
Haven’t yet found a page for the first Prussian Army, but Google doesn’t usually show me pages in German.
Can’t find a first name for General Briand. Timeframe is wrong for Aristide, and it’s not a very unusual name
