Be careful with numbers. I seriously doubt that Scots nobles in 1402 had the capacity to raise anything like 40,000 men in arms. If this number is drawn from a contemporary chronicle it is important to remember that these nearly always exaggerate numbers, sometimes grossly. Rcpaterson 01:45, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
