The main sourse is russian book, published in 1903 (and recently republished in Russia), its author was a military reporter of Port-Artur newspaper "Novy Kraj" ("New Land") and personally participated in March to Beijing. You can see this book in "Further reading". During Battle of Yangcun author went on the railroad bridge to see chinese positions when russian cannons began to fire above his head.
