Bechtel dishonest contract in Romania

In August 2012, after 7 years,Bechtel Highway in Romania was still under construction, with only 54 km of road finished (8 km by year)and 1.25 billion Euro paid to Bechtel USA. The Romanian Government has then renegotiated the contract, allowing Bechtel to complete only two segments of the freeway, in total 118km.

Romanian press consider Bechtel contract as an example of dishonest affairs.Bechtel is stealing money from Romanian Government and nobody know why this is permitted by all politicians.

Look with Google at the disastrous Bechtel highway in Romania: 1.25 billion Euro for only 54 km ! Started in 2005, this highway is the most expensive highway in the world and a catastrophic performance.

In the first article referred to the Minister says "I am glad that Bechtel and the Ministry of Transport managed to find together a solution for this important project" which sounds remarkably positive in the circumstances.
