products in Beriozka stores
[edit]The article is unclear about the products sold, and is incorrect in claiming that certain products were not available in regular stores. Chocolate was actually widely and reliably available in regular stores for Soviet citizens.
What was available in Beriozka stores but not elsewhere included e.g. imported grocery products. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.253.238.230 (talk) 09:17, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
Background
[edit]The "Background" section says intern foreign currency circulation was banned in 1927. it further says " it became necessary to have places where goods could be purchased for foreign currency" But Beryozka stores were introduced in 1964 (so our article says). What was during 1927-1965, then? --Altenmann >talk 15:18, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
