Talk:Bhabhi (disambiguation)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There used to be text exploring how the word "bhabhi" is sometimes sexualized. This proved controversial and I am seeing that the original article was somehow deleted, then recreated with nothing more than a bland definition.

This violated several Wikipedia policies. In the first place, Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a dictionary. Discussion -- at reasonable length -- of the implications and various uses of a word are the whole point of an encyclopedia. Simple definitions belong in Wiktionary.

Second, censorship is against policy. Of course offensive material such as racist insults, pornography, violent imagery and the like does not belong in an encyclopedia. Nevertheless the fact that someone or some group is offended by an article written in a neutral encyclopedic tone is not grounds for removing it. LADave (talk) 21:49, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
