'Big Spender' was not filmed in Florida but rather Phoenix, Arizona.

According to the article cited and according to other published sources shown on the producers' web site, the first season was filmed in south Florida. An article in the Miami Herald cites them as saying they chose SFla because (a) the crew is based there and (b) life in that area lends itself to overspending. You may be thinking of host Larry Winget, who lives in and works from the Phoenix area. Lawikitejana 06:55, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
