It's called Boeremusiek, not "Boer music" as in the title page. There is no English word for Boeremusiek. A literal translation would be "Farmers' music", which is completely incorrect in reality. Both "Farmers' music" and "Boer music" would be likely be seen as a disrespectful translation by an Afrikaner.

Boeremusiek takes its name from the Boer nation, which no longer exists, rather than the epithet "Boer" as an individual member of that nation or, in its common context, a Afrikaans freedom fighter from the era 1860 - 1903. The modern descriptive is "Afrikaner". "Boer" in modern use is the Afrikaans word for a farmer, commercial or otherwise. But that doesn't correctly carry the implications of "boeremusiek", most of which are lost in translation and wouldn't be understood by someone who is unfamiliar with Afrikaner traditions and the Afrikaans language. This page's title should be changed to Boeremusiek. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.11.241.45 (talk) 19:41, 22 June 2007‎ (UTC)[reply]

Verskillende Kunstenaars

Verskillende Kunstenaars means Various artists. Is this a real artist or not?--88.197.161.15 (talk) 17:53, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
