I was told that there is a plaque over the door on the “red house” that sits just west of Market Street that is written in French or German that reads “Bon et Fidele,” or “Good and True.” Can anyone confirm that? It may be a valid source for the name of the district.
Origin of the name “Boneyfiddle.”
